BioThe Victoria University Science Fiction Club is an organisation devoted to showing and promoting the latest and best sci fi programs. We meet every Wednesday during university term in meeting room Three from 4pm until 10pm. New members, both students and non-students are always welcome.
We have been an affiliated club of VUWSA for over 10 years (exact date is still being researched), with membership being at its peak before the internet and during Babylon 5. Our current memership is around 35.
We show a wide variety of shows (look for the latest timetable in the blog), varying from new (Sanctuary) to popular (Doctor Who) to action (Stargate) to comedy (Invader Zim) to fantasy (Dresden Files). We even show the occasional non- or detably scifi show, such as Robot Chicken and Get Smart.
If we sound like something you'd like to be a part of, then come along any time during a meeting. You can come to two meetings free of charge to see if you like the atmosphere, and then membership is only $5 per trimester. (No meetings during summer trimester.)
